This large finely engraved hand coloured original antique map of America was engraved by Charles Francois Delamarche (1740-1817) in 1800 - the date in engraved in the title.
I have found records of only 2 sales of this map from 1983 with a peak of $1100 in 1994.

This is a beautifully engraved and hand coloured map, showing both the tracks and landing points of Captain James Cook in the Pacific, NW America & Hawaii in the 1770's . Also included are the tracks of Captain John Mears in NW America in the 1780's  (Ref: Tooley; M&B)
